How Do I Become a Beauty School Instructor in Florida?

Teaching in the state of Florida can be an exciting career venture. Our instructor training program equips students with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience needed to obtain a teaching license in Florida. The program encompasses 600 credit hours including hands-on classroom teaching hours.

We begin your journey from industry expert to mentor by establishing a strong foundation in teaching theory and practice. We will identify the qualities and characteristics desired in a master educator to nurture those traits in future students.

The elements of effective teaching guide our course curriculum. You can have the opportunity to practice creating lesson plans, organizing labs, and learning to identify effective teaching resources and classroom arrangements.

Our instructor training program also features career-driven teaching modules such as resume writing, interview preparation, and the basics of grading coursework, advising, and day-to-day instructor duties. Build a strong rapport with your future students by understanding the best strategies for successfully coaching your class.

Through a dynamic approach, our graduates can feel confident in their mentorship abilities. In fact, many of our alumni return to Bene’s Career Academy as teachers and guest lecturers!

What Are the Admissions Requirements for the Instructor Training Program?

If you’ve been honing your skills in the beauty and wellness world and have a passion for uplifting the cosmetology and esthetics community, an instructor training career is the perfect pathway for your talents. Of course, the road to becoming an inspirational coach begins with great mentorship for developing your own career. We lead by example at Bene’s Career Academy, bringing the best industry creatives in both cosmetology and esthetics together in a collaborative teaching environment.

Instructor Training students must hold a current Florida Cosmetology, Barber, or Specialty Registration and have two years of professional experience. This program is designed to prepare a licensed barber, cosmetologist, skin care technician, nail technician, or massage therapist to enter the teaching world.
