Beauty school offers a dynamic combination of theory and practical application. Once you’ve chosen the right program for your career path, your student experience will be focused on giving you the skills necessary to succeed in your profession. You can expect a mix of classroom time and lab time to demonstrate your skills.

The classroom portion of beauty school consists of learning theory and fundamentals. You’ll engage with discussion groups among your peers, hear from guest speakers and industry experts, complete coursework, and test your knowledge with weekly quizzes to ensure you’re ready to sit for any state license exams required.

Labs consist of hands-on salon time at our state-of-the-art facility. You can expect to practice on real clients with the benefit of mentorship and demonstrations from your instructor. Our small group format ensures an intimate class size designed for optimal learning. Students can expect to study different tools and techniques, honing their craft as they prepare for future careers.

Yes! Financial aid is available for those who qualify. Our admissions counselors are happy to walk you through your options. Bene’s Career Academy can accept multiple options including grants, scholarships, student loans, and work-study to empower your education.

While a high school diploma is required to be considered for admission, we offer alternate options to work toward full admission to the cosmetology program of your choice. Bene’s Career Academy has created a pathway program for those who do not yet have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Through our Career Pathways program, students can earn their GED alongside their cosmetology certification.

Bene’s Career Academy offers a range of entry-level programs as well as advanced courses in the beauty and wellness industry, including:

You meet so many incredible guest artists, salon owners, and industry professionals at our school that by the time you graduate, most of our graduates know exactly where they’re going. While we can’t guarantee employment, you’ll have a lot of opportunities to network and decide where you’d like to be!

Bene’s Career Academy welcomes students of all backgrounds. No matter where you are in your career journey, you’ll find a supportive community to gain experience and bolster your skills.

All applicants must present proof of being above the age of compulsory school attendance, which is 16 years old in the state of Florida. Prospective students must also have obtained a High School Diploma or GED approved by the Florida Department of Education. Homeschooled students must have a state-issued credential for secondary school completion.

If applying for our Instructor Training program, students must hold a current Florida Cosmetology, Barber, or Specialty Registration and have two years of salon experience.

Admissions requirements are further outlined within the pre-enrollment packet. Meeting with an admissions counselor is the first step to a lifelong career in the beauty, health, and wellness industry.

Yes. Bene’s Career Academy accepts transfer students from other institutions. If you’re curious about what credits will transfer to accelerate your education with us, our enrollment counselors can help you navigate the transition.

Our general policy is that we will accept hours from another cosmetology school if the courses are equivalent and a minimum of 25% of the degree program was delivered by the institution awarding the degree.

A wealth of resources are available to students at our cosmetology academy in Florida. Students enjoy full access to Milady’s online platform, a fully equipped salon space with the latest tools and products, demonstration areas with professional mannequins and stations, and the latest classroom technology to accelerate learning. Students will join a network of driven peers to grow their rapport while achieving their certification.

Our students receive career coaching throughout their time at our cosmetology school to empower them for future success. Many of our courses include “outside the salon” essentials like resume and cover letter writing. While we can’t guarantee employment after completion of our programs, we do want to help prepare our students for their future careers.
