Meet Florida’s Barbering Requirements and More

Our program runs for 1,200 hours, giving our students the time and supportive space they need to practice for their state exam as they work toward obtaining a barber license.

During the first few weeks of barbering class at our campus, you can gain a foundation in barbering theory and learn hair school basics. The theory portion of our barbering program consists of a weekly chapter review on a rotating schedule, guest lecturers and educators, lively discussion groups, written and reading assignments, debates on the latest trends and topics, and much more.

Alongside our classroom curriculum, students can expect to perform barbering services under the guidance of experienced instructors. Take advantage of hands-on, step-by-step practical skill work alongside demonstrations. The curriculum is enhanced with lab work, field trips, and clinic time to refine the fundamentals of barbering.

Something else unique about Bene’s Career Academy, is that we champion diversity within the barbering industry. Our students work with and study a variety of hair types and textures. Learn techniques for cutting different styles to give your practice the chic, polished edge clients seek.

By the end of your program, you can gain an understanding of the principles of chemical reactions and treatments for different hair types to deliver the best possible results. You can stay on top of trending styles and learn the techniques barbers across the globe are using. As you grow your experience in barbering education, your potential grows alongside you.
