Our cosmetology program is a competitive, fast-paced curriculum that emphasizes both classroom theory and practical instruction. A 1200-credit hour program, our courses prepare students to confidently work toward a cosmetology license in Florida. The student experience is a balance of working hours in our salon environment and dedicated classroom time to prepare to sit for the state exam. Along the way, you can acquire skills in sanitation, compliance, and state law and regulations to help you in your future career.

We offer both full-time and part-time learning tracks for students of our cosmetology academy. Financial aid is available in the form of scholarships, grants, loans, and work-study for those who qualify.

Bene’s is proud to provide an education that creates a Professional Designer. It allows you to become the designer with the skills to see, think and create as a designer rather than duplicating a haircut. Students will share their time between lecture format courses to gain a foundational knowledge of their trade and practical salon hours where they will have the opportunity to perform their skills under supervisory guidance by licensed instructors.

How Long Will It Take To Complete Cosmetology School?

We understand that every educational journey is unique. That’s why Bene’s Career Academy offers a variety of options for course completion. To complete our 1200-hour program, students can choose from the following schedules:

  • Full-time days – 30 hours per week to complete our program in as little as 40 weeks
  • Part-time day – 18 hours per week to complete our program in as little as 66.66 weeks
  • Full-time nights – 25 hours per week to complete our program in as little as 48 weeks
  • Part-time nights – 15 hours per week to complete our program in as little as 80 weeks

Our education tracks are flexible and grow alongside your learning journey. If you need to change course schedules at any point in your education, your student advisor can help navigate this transition.

  • Must be above the age of compulsory school attendance, which is 16 years of age or above in Florida.
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED approved by the Florida Department of Education.
